Eligibility Criteria for RPSC Protection Officer Vacancy 2024
- Law Graduate ( LL.B ) / master’s in social works (MSW) from a university established by law in India.
- Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.

Selection Procedure for RPSC Protection Officer
Candidates will be selected through a written examination. If required, the Commission may adopt scaling/moderation/normalization methods in the evaluation of answer sheets/answer papers. As per Rule 27 of the relevant service rules, the names of the candidates found suitable by the Commission will be recommended to the State Government/Appointing Authority which will be arranged in the order of merit according to the marks obtained in the written examination.

Syllabus for RPSC Protection Officer
Examination:
- The competitive examination shall carry 600 marks.
- There will be two papers. Both the papers shall be of 300 marks Each, Duration of both papers shall be 3 hours each,
- A candidate must take the compulsory examination and any one of the optional papers below:
- Social work
- Law
- All the questions in both the papers shall be multiple choice type questions.
- Negative marking shall be applicable in the evaluation of answers. For every wrong answer, one third of the marks prescribed for that particular question shall be deducted.
Explanation: Wrong answer shall mean an incorrect answer or multiple answers.
- Minimum passing marks shall be 40% in each paper.
- All papers unless specifically required, shall be answered either in English or Hindi, but no candidate shall be permitted to answer any one paper partly in Hindi and English unless specifically allowed to do so.
- The detailed syllabus and scope of paper for the examination will be as prescribed by the Commission from time to time and will be intimated to the candidates within the stipulated time in the manner as the Commission deems fit.
