This position will be for Legal Counsel – II (Grade 11), reporting to Assistant General Counsel and will be a part of the B2B legal vertical of Flipkart legal team based out of Bangalore.

You will be a part of the dynamic and diverse Flipkart Group Legal team which comprises of dynamic lawyers and corporate governance professionals with varied experience of handling complex matters and supporting business verticals from B2C (e-Commerce), B2B (Wholesale), Travel, Health, Real Estate, Supply Chain/Logistics and legal and policy matters relating to E-Commerce, FinTech, M&A, Regulatory Compliance, Data protection, IP, Litigation & Disputes, Labour & Employment and others”

Responsibility

  1. Support on contract drafting, review and negotiations for a variety of agreements, including but not limited to brand license agreements, supply agreements, sourcing agreements, service agreements, advertisement agreements, celebrity endorsement agreements, marketing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, consultant agreements, engagement letters, banking agreements, data sharing agreements, license agreements etc.
  2. Draft and review offer terms and conditions, and policies for e-commerce platforms in compliance with applicable laws. Review print, social media and other media advertisements and communications in the nature of press releases, marketing communications, seller communications to ensure compliance with applicable laws and code of conduct of the organization.
  3. Advice business partners on legal and regulatory matters including e-commerce laws, FDI laws, intellectual property laws, consumer protection laws, data protection laws, contract interpretation, breach and remedies, contract compliance requirements.
  4. Research into new regulations and legal regime of new domains of business and advice on regulatory requirements, legal risks and mitigation strategies.
  5. Work as a part of a team and contribute towards projects involving setting up policies and processes for legal risk identification and mitigation.
