About NLSIU Call for Applications for Archivist
The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) invites call for applications in 2025 for one full-time role at the Archives (Archivist) at NLSIU, based on the University campus, for one year (extendable). This position will be based in Bengaluru.
Qualification: Archivist Vacancy at NLSIU 2025
Essential:
- Candidates with a postgraduate degree in social sciences, information sciences, communications, law, or a related field with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- Demonstrated research interest.
Desirable:
- Certification or training in archival studies or library sciences.
- Familiarity with archival software such as Space or Archives Space.

Essential:
- Candidates with at least 2 years of work experience.
- Experience in sorting and cataloging archival records and personal collections.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Proven ability to liaise between archival teams, institutional stakeholders, and funders.
- Prior involvement with public engagement projects.
- Experience facilitating access to archives for diverse users, including students, researchers, and the public.
