About Eklavya Research and Writing Programme by NLU Delhi

The National Law University Delhi launched the Eklavya Research and Writing Affiliation Programme (ERAP) in 2025, to engage in interdisciplinary research and to evolve quality publications through collaborative learning.

Eligibility: Eklavya Research and Writing Programme by NLU Delhi

  1. Applicants must be a graduates in law or in any other field but should be willing to work on topics that have an interface with the law.
  2. Applicants must have quality research and writing skills. To this end, they must submit a sample publication in a quality journal or a writing sample.
  3. To be selected for the Eklavya 2.0 Workshop applicants must complete an online application form and also upload the documents mentioned below:
    1. Expression of Interest for participating in the workshop. (max. 300 words).
    2. A publication proposal with the following contents:
    • Tentative research title of the proposed manuscript.
    • Literature Review: A survey of scholarly knowledge on the topic shall be mapped in not more than 750 words. There has to be an engagement with the literature to construct/de-construct the prevailing narrative and add contribution to the existing knowledge system.
    • Research statement and relevance: Tentative research statement of not more than 500 words demonstrating experience with issues that have a significant interface with the law and its relevance for the proposed research.
  1. Research Questions and Scope of Research: The research questions shall be identified to bring forth specific knowledge in the thematic area. A statement of not more than 750 words explaining scope of the proposed research, including limitations of the current research, if any. e. Feasibility and Justification: A statement of no more than 500 words explaining how the applicant intends to complete the research paper based on the proposal alongside existing commitments highlighting their availability. The feasibility of publication of such a paper in a year, if NLUD offers a fellowship to complete the paper, shall be made clear. Generic justifications will not suffice and there must be a demonstrable feasibility contained in the statement.
  2. Applicants will also have to upload their CVs and academic transcripts.

Honorarium: Eklavya Research and Writing Competition by NLU Delhi

  • A participating grant of Rs.5000/- would be paid to selected candidates to facilitate participation in the two-day workshop.
  • Accommodation will not be provided.
  • An appropriate honorarium, as may be decided by the University, is also proposed after the completion and publication of the assignment.
