About the Role

An exciting Legal Associate position is open in Chennai for individuals who aspire to work closely with senior advocates and gain practical exposure to criminal and civil litigation. The role offers a dynamic learning environment within the Madras High Court and surrounding courts.
As a Legal Associate, you’ll assist senior lawyers in handling diverse cases, including criminal trials, civil disputes, and writ petitions, while developing your advocacy and drafting skills through real-time courtroom experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, research, and case preparation for criminal, civil, and writ matters
- Attend court hearings and manage daily case filings
- Conduct detailed legal research and prepare case briefs
- Coordinate with clients and assist in client meetings
- Support advocates during trial preparation and documentation
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a recognized university
- Enrollment with the Bar Council preferred (not mandatory for interns)
- Strong interest in litigation and courtroom practice
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- Ability to handle regular court attendance and case management
