About NHRC Winter Internship 2024
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Invite “Winter Internship Programme (WIP) 2024-2025”. To spread awareness among university students about the need to protect and promote Human Rights, the Commission has been regularly conducting ‘Winter and Summer Internship Programmes’ since 1998 and 2000, respectively.

Qualification: NHRC Winter Internship 2024
- Students who have completed 1st year and are pursuing 2nd or 3rd year LLB (3 years) courses.
- Students who have completed 3 years OR Semester VI of the 5-year course of BA/BA LLB etc. and pursuing 4th and 5th years.
- Students pursuing L.L.M. Course.
- Students pursuing a PG Diploma in Human Rights, MA in Human Rights, PG students of Political Science, Sociology, Social Work (MSW), Criminology, Public Administration, Rural Development, History, Economics, Commerce, Anthropology, Mass Communication, International Relations and any of the discipline of Social Sciences would be considered with preference to students pursuing their final year.
- Only students at regular Universities will be eligible. courses of UGC Recognized
- Students must have attained a minimum of 65% marks in Class XII and all subsequent Semesters in attended/attending degree programs.
Duration: National Human Rights Winter Internship 2024
Four Weeks [16th December 2024 (Monday) to 10th January 2025 (Friday)]
Facilities: Human Rights Winter Internship 2024
- The interns will be given a Kit/Bag containing NHRC reading material and an Intern Identity Card (Temporary).
- Library facilities will be provided.
- Internet facilities will be provided.
- Tea and snacks twice a day along with lunch will be provided to the interns on all working days. For field visits, interns will be provided packed lunches.
Travelling Allowance & Stipend: Human Rights Winter Internship 2024
- The selected interns from outside Delhi will be allowed Sleeper AC 3 Tier train fare to New Delhi and back to their place of study through the shortest route.
- All selected interns who successfully complete the internship will be paid an amount of Rs. 12,000/- (Rupees Twelve Thousand only)
- An amount of Rs.15,000/-, Rs. 10,000/-, and Rs.5,000/- will be given as prize money for interns who are placed Ist, IInd, and IIIrd respectively for the Group Research Project.
