About NLUD Business and Financial Law Review
The NLUD Business and Financial Law Review (NLUD BFLR) is the newly launched flagship commercial law journal of the Centre for Business and Financial Laws at NLU Delhi, the inaugural volume of which is set to be published in September 2025.
Themes for Submission
- The journal would accept and publish articles dealing with the following themes and areas of law, under the broad umbrella of corporate and commercial laws:
- Banking and Finance Law
- Company Law
- Competition Law
- Contract Law
- Employment Law
- Foreign Investment Insolvency Law
- Insurance Laws
- Securities Law and Capital Markets
- Taxation Law
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The NLUD Business and Financial Law Journal is now accepting submissions for its inaugural edition (Volume I). The deadline for submissions is 27 April 2025. The editorial board will endeavor to review and process the submissions within six weeks starting from the submission deadline.
Categories of Submissions
- Long Articles (Above 5000 words)
- Essays (3000 – 5000 words)
- Book Reviews or Case/Legislative Comments (1500– 3000 words)
These word limits are exclusive of footnotes and merely indicative. Speaking footnotes are discouraged. The Editorial Board retains discretion about the flexibility in the word limit.
Manuscript Guidelines: NLUD Business and Financial Law Review CBFL
- Submissions must not be descriptive. The author(s) must ensure that the submission is critically evaluative while contributing to the existing literature/jurisprudence on the subject matter.
- Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format (doc. or docx.).
- Co-authorship is limited to a maximum of two individuals. However, this limit may be relaxed at the discretion of the Editorial Board on a case-by case basis. The manuscript must be in A-4 size, with 1-inch margins on all four sides.
- Formatting guidelines for main text:
- Font Style: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12
- Line Spacing: 1.15 4) Alignment: Justified
- Internal headings must comply with the following format:
- First-level headings should be numbered I, II and so on.
- Second-level headings should be numbered A, B and so on.
- Third-level headings should be numbered (i), (ii) and so on.
Submission Procedure
- The submission must be made through this Google Form only. Submissions made in any other form shall not be accepted.
- The document name must be in the following format “[Full Name of the Author(s)] _ [Title of Submission].”
- The deadline for submissions for Volume I of the NLUD BFLR is 11:59 PM on 27 April 2025.
