HNLU Introduces a New Era of Practical Legal Education

On 9 January 2026, Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, officially launched “HNLU Gen Z–Lex: From Statute to Strategy”, a futuristic digital platform designed to bridge the long-standing gap between legal academia and professional practice.

The initiative aims to move students seamlessly from classroom learning to real-world legal strategy through fortnightly structured interactions with leading legal professionals, law-firm partners, and industry experts.

Vice-Chancellor’s Message

Prof. (Dr.) V. C. Vivekanandan, Vice-Chancellor of HNLU, while launching the platform, quoted futurist Alvin Toffler:

“The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.”

He emphasised that legal education must move beyond doctrinal teaching, preparing students for a technology-driven professional world. Gen Z–Lex, he noted, is not a one-time event but a continuous pedagogic movement from theory to professional transformation.
